I wouldn't say that I am "slacking" on this whole blog thing because....a) I do it for me b) I don't do it for anything else....but I do feel like I need to "catch up"...oh well haha!
These past 2 1/2 weeks back have been INSANE. Tornado insane. I have been in our shelter way too much if you ask me. My dogs have been muddy way too many times. and I have heard the weather radio go off and make that super annoying sound A LOT. At the end of the day, amidst all of these crazy events, busy schedules and full outlook calendars, it's still all about the people.
I've seen hearts broken. I've witnessed people who were scared. I've hurt for those that I see crying over these past events. And I hope that I have helped and can add even just a tiny speck of hope and healing.
We're not here to get wrapped up in the name or the game or the "Oh...I volunteered HERE for THIS amount of hours! so HA I have more than you!"or any of that stuff. We are here to love God and love people. We are here to help the hurting. We are here to pray for healing and we are here to make someone else's life better than it was when they met you.
If I can re-cap anything over these past few weeks it would be: Praying that I can transform lives. Knowing that He is guiding me 110% along the way.
