God gave you them

Living the life we do, gives us a sense of thankfulness and blessings every time you get to be home with your spouse, parents, loved ones and friends. I love my life....I am so blessed and so grateful for what I do and I refuse to take these moments for granted.

Don't ever feel content when you're home. Appreciate every single second you have with your loved ones. Don't waste your time together bickering or fighting or being annoyed with one another. I guarantee you, if you spent time with them knowing that you were going to be gone for 6+ months in the future--it would change your whole perspective (or at least it should...).

I love this song and I hope you do too.

YouTube: David Barnes "God Gave Me You"

Now...get off the computer and go hang out with your loved ones if you can. If you can't- be thankful that you have someone in your life that you miss as much as you do--God gave you them & He knows what He is doing in your life...be excited for His plans. :)

The good, the bad, the crazy

Today has been full of ideas. Good ideas, bad ideas and straight up crazy ideas!!

Good: Washing my hair before work because I was way too tired to wash it last night
Bad: Putting it in a bun wet. It's been 11 hours...it's still wet.

Good: Making lots of leftover home made {see: from scratch..ohhh how I love random bursts of me being domestic ;)} so I could have them for lunch today.

Bad: Using carmel creamer in my coffee the past couple of mornings...its gross. Don't buy it.

Crazy: Researching, talking with education counselors and actually planning out entering an exciting- super tough- program...let's just say..by the end of it..you can call me Doctor Doctor or Doctor^2  (Doctor squared) ;)

Crazy-er: Buying a binder so I can organize the applications for the two different yet simultaneous {{totally demanding}} programs.

Crazy-est: Thinking about myself and where I will be at age 50...don't ask. haha

Crazy-er-est: Still trying to fight the ongoing baby fever we have HAHA...all these new parents with their super cute babies.. gosh! c'mon people- don't act like you haven't caught it yet!

Crazy-est-est: Knowing that last night these thoughts were in the very very very very very very very very back of the most tiniest spot in my brain- except for the baby fever one...that one is always around..refer back to the above statement- cute babies everywhere....

Long story short: I've always wanted to do both programs and never knew there was a joint program where I COULD do both in what I do!

Bottom Line: Call me crazy, call my ideas bad, call your ideas better-Regardless of the ideas we have...regardless of how crazy we think they may be...regardless of what ANYONE says to us..the BEST part about HUGE ideas is:

Knowing that when God instills a dream in you...NO man can stop it!

If you have a dream, if you have a huge idea, if you have a crazy big idea that you know will change your life- GO FOR IT. God MOVES MOUNTAINS. HE will get you to where HE wants you to be. His dreams are HUGE. If it's not big enough..it's not a God given dream...so don't let others opinions change your mind...you get out there, and you give it your all, and you watch what God can do!

6 days off are so beautiful....

...yet so evil the day back! And today was HOT (108+ degrees outside!). To top it all off: my iPhone decided to delete EVERYONE out of it. -_-

Bright note: Labor day was amazing! We grilled with friends, met new friends, and laughed a whole bunch.

I also started a cute wall in our kitchen/table area and can't wait to share it! I still need to finish it up and will probably work on it Thursday night and get a picture on here by the weekend...hip hip horray!

Anyone on here crossfit?! My husband and I are signing up for a new crossfit gym tomorrow. Since we moved, we've been trying out a couple because...as weird as it may sound...each crossfit has its own "clique" and we wanted to find the best fit for us. I think we found it. At least..I hope so! I cant wait to post pics of our new home away from home..in all seriousness!

I've been talking to a lot of people that are going through rough times, challenges and changes and need some help. I came accross this on Pinterest of all places and it turned one of my bad days totally around last week.

{{September...ALREADY?!?!}}

Ok..I know..I've been off the blogging train since May. Seriously- where did the time go?! What better way to get back blogging then to re-cap the amazingness of the past few months. There's no way that I can re-cap everything- too much has been going on!

1- 29 May: I said goodbye to Houston, TX and Hello to Montgomery, AL! Ever end up somewhere and think "Wow- WHY the HECK am I here GOD?!"- well...thats how I felt when I arrived in Houston in 2010. I left in 2012 thinking "NO WHERE IS GOING TO TOP THIS PLACE!" I made the best friends, started and finished grad school (Yes, I am in my early 20's and have a masters degree already- Thank you JESUS!), witnessed God work miracles and discovered more of my potential in Christ. Well...I left that amazing-ness and ended up without my husband, with my civilian clothes locked away in a closet and got to have the time of my life at training (please note: the sarcasm only applies to the first 2 weeks...the last 3 weeks were really some of the best times of my life).

2- July: Joined my husband in Oklahoma!

Now- coming from an apartment without a washer dryer to a brick home in a gated community was a blessing in and of itself! I started work here in OK- it's only been 2 months but I have learned so much and am so excited about what is ahead!

{{Exploring OK with hubby. Here we are at OU!}}

{{Exploring somewhere in OK....}}

3- August: SURPRISE move to this beautiful home! We LOVE IT!!! Long story short: we weren't supposed to move into here until NEXT summer but were called on a monday and asked to move in on the following Tuesday- can you say stress?!

{{Our home!}}

My friend Ro visited us in OK! We went to fun restaurants, a museum rooftop lounge, the CUTEST cupcake place where they had a milk bar (yummy!) and some other fun things- I will be doing a post on  reviews around OK soon. I can't wait to share all the amazing things to do in this town!

Phew- there's the past 100+ days in a short re-cap. As for now...we have some unpacking to do, curtains to hang, dinner to cook, and relaxing to do. I am so excited to be blogging again!

 Some things to look forward to:
1- OK reviews (like I previously mentioned..)
2- Interior decorating pics- I am actually pretty excited about some "Pinterest inspired" projects that will be happening around this house. I mean..the materials are already purchased so I DEFINITLY have to get going on the DIY'ing.

I haven't had a chance to read EVERY post that you have all written but I have seen a few and can I just say- you are all amazing! Everyone with their different talents, different plans, different abilities....keep it going! You're all doing incredible things.

Have a blessed Sunday!
